More than 40 years have gone by and the classics of Titãs, one of the main rock bands in Brazil, remain in the imagination of the Brazilian population. Although the classic formation, with 8 members, including Nando Reis, Arnaldo Antunes, Paulo Miklos and Charles Gavin, haven't played together for more than 30 years, songs like "Comida", "O Pulso" and "Flores" continue to be hits even for the youngest.

To the delight of the band's fans, 21 dates of commemorative concerts were announced, where the remaining 7 of the group (guitarist Marcelo Fromer died in 2001) will be together again on top of the stage. Entitled "Todos Ao Mesmo Tempo Agora", the tour marks more than 40 years on the road for the band from São Paulo.

Musician and music producer Liminha, who worked with the group on albums such as "Cabeça Dinossauro", "Jesus Não Tem Dentes No País dos Banguelas" and "Õ Blésq Blom", will join the titanic Arnaldo Antunes, Branco Mello, Charles Gavin, Nando Reis, Paulo Miklos, Sérgio Britto e Tony Bellotto.

It is already certain that the repertoire will be focused on the period in which the seven musicians in question were in the band, that is, from 1984, year of release of the debut album of the group, until 1991, with the album "Tudo Ao Não Tempo Agora". We cannot rule out, of course, later successes, such as "Epitafio" and "Os Cegos do Castelo".

“The few times I saw Titãs on stage again — after I left — it was always an emotion filled with a lot of laughter, memories, shared stories and affection. Now, with this tour, we will have the opportunity to live a little more with this complicity that does not disappear”, commented Arnaldo Antunes in a recent interview. Also in conversation with the press, Paulo Miklos shared some of the repertoire: “We had a hard time preparing the repertoire, because there are many hits over 40 years, but we focused on the moment when we were all together, in a list of three of the most important albums of the 80's”.

However, not only from hits the Titãs live. The making off of the band's rehearsals shows parts of songs loved by big fans, but considered as B-sides by the general public, such as "Nome Aos Bois" and "Tô Cansado".

The tour debut takes place on April 27th and 28th, with tickets sold out, at the Jeunesse Arena, in Rio de Janeiro. There will be 21 performances in 17 cities – in addition to a confirmed trip to Portugal, with a show scheduled for November 3rd, at the Altice Arena, in Lisbon (check out the complete agenda at the end of the article). In total, more than 500,000 tickets have been sold.

It is worth remembering that the Titãs Encontro will also highlight the group's guitarist, Marcelo Fromer, who died in 2001. In addition to the tribute inherent to the compositions and interpretations proposed by the band on this tour, the meeting will feature the artist's daughter, the also singer Alice Fromer, in special participation.

At WePlay, you can remember the band's great classics in a unique show in partnership with the Portuguese group Xutos e Pontapés.
