Recognized for nurturing Brazilian culture for more than 30 years on the road, the Trovadores Urbanos, that spread music through serenades, concerts and actions with children and teenagers, presents the "Roda de Mulheres - Afeto e Cultura", which for 10 months, starting in April, will promote workshops and activities, totally free, in favor of women who live in communities in the selected neighborhoods, located in the North, East and South Zone of São Paulo.

The project intends to seek a bond with women who live in vulnerable places that lack their basic rights such as study, culture and leisure. The Troubadours enter with the mission of propagating self-knowledge, self-love and the strength present within women who live in regions with high rates of violence.

In early April, the SASF - Family Social Assistance Service in each region will host Affective Workshops with themes such as "Choir Singing", "Theatre", "Circular Dances" and "Creative and Affective", where they will learn various manual activities. Workshops take place once a week in each house for 10 months. On Tuesdays, from the 4th, it is the turn of SASF Elisa Maria (North), on Wednesdays at SASF Cidade Ademar (South) and on Thursdays at SASF Boa Esperança (East).

The Conversation Circles will be monthly meetings with music and chat, with relevant day-to-day subjects that will lead the participants to reflect. These actions will be open to the community and will have a specialized professional in each area to encourage conversations. The first round will be about “music and meditation” and is scheduled for the last week of April.

At the end of the project, each location will receive a serenade/show with the Trovadores Urbanos group and after a round of conversation about the career and curiosities of the group's 33 years of existence. To participate in the activities it is necessary to be registered in the SASF.

Conducted by MMP Produções and the Municipal Secretariat of Culture, the project hopes to impact around 1,200 women with the workshops in the three communities and around 10,000 people in total, directly and indirectly, considering the workshops, conversation circles and shows of the Urban Troubadours.

The Trovadores Urbanos

One of the most traditional groups in Brazilian music, Os Trovadores Urbanos have been active since the 90s and, since then, have enchanted the public with their famous serenades, songs and poems.

In so many years on the road, the group has already shared the stage with names like Alaíde Costa, Cauby Peixoto, Demônios da Garoa, among others.

On WePlay, the first streaming platform for Brazilian shows, you can watch the shows "Canções Paulistas Ao Vivo" and "Ao Vivo No Ibirapuera".
